Academic Departments

If you have declared your major, ask your Undergraduate Advisor whether your department offers scholarships for its majors. In addition, check your department’s bulletin boards: outside organizations often send scholarship announcements directly to relevant academic departments for them to post.

Discovery Opportunities Database

The Discovery Opportunities Database is UC Berkeley’s new, centralized tool for our 32k undergraduates to search for research, internships, scholarships/fellowships, public service opportunities, and study abroad experiences beyond the classroom. The database gathers opportunities from 13 campus partners all in one place, with more resources continually being added.

UC Berkeley Public Service Center

The Public Service Center works with the local community to engage students in a variety of service activities, such as tutoring youth, helping the unhoused, providing companionship to the elderly, and preserving the environment.

Graduate Division Fellowships Office

318 Sproul Hall
The Fellowships Office has information on scholarships and fellowships for graduate study at any institution. Graduating seniors may apply for many externally funded awards, such as the Fulbright Grants for Graduate Study Abroad, Mellon Fellowships in the Humanities, and National Science Foundation Fellowships.

Cal Student Central Office

120 Sproul Hall
Cal Student Central (CSC) is dedicated to assisting UC Berkeley students and the community successfully navigate several key departments that affect a student’s career at UC Berkeley. CSC staff serve as representatives of the Financial Aid and Scholarships Office, the Office of the Registrar, Accounts Payable, and Billing and Payment Services. They offer services online, over the phone, and in-person.
