Nitisha Baronia : Knight-Hennessy Scholarship
Nitisha Baronia graduated from UC Berkeley with a B.S. in Business Administration and a B.A. in Political Science, and will be pursuing a JD at Stanford. During her time at UC Berkeley, she served as the Editor-in-Chief of theBerkeley Political Reviewand as the Chief of Staff at the ASUC Student Advocates Office. Nitisha was a four time winner of the Cal Alumni Leadership Award and is a recipient of the Regents and Chancellors Scholarship, the highest academic honor at UC Berkeley. She is also the winner of the 2016 Travers Scholarship in Ethics and Politics. Since graduating with highest honors in Political Science and receiving the Haas Business School Department Citation, Nitisha has been working as a researcher with the Sexual Violence Program at the Boalt Law School Human Rights Center and has continued to serve as a speech and debate coach. She is passionate about gender equality and international human rights law, and hopes to give a legal voice to those who may often be denied one.
